Father Gabriel Richard's Ashton Hundley had 69 rushing yards with one touchdown on 20 attempts as Gabriel Richard won the district title, 24-0 over Lake Fenton.

"We had probably our best effort defensively from this year," Gabriel Richard coach Brian Lemons said. "Our defense shut them out. Defense played really well today. Front five were really tough, there wasn't much moving them."

Gabriel Richard's Joe Kendzicky was 12 of 18 for 171 yards.

Gabriel Richard will play River Rouge, which beat Almont 44-22 on Friday, in the district final.

"Extremely talented team," Lemons said of River Rouge. "It will be another tough contest. If we can put together a solid plan, it comes down to tackling well and taking care of the football. Having the game at home will hopefully be an advantage for us."
