High school roundup: Dexter girls soccer, Milan boys golf advance in MHSAA tournaments

Nicole Lucas’ goal gave the Dexter High School girls soccer team a 1-0 win over Livonia Ladywood in a Division 2 regional semifinal Tuesday at Trenton High School.
Lucas scored on an assist from Olivia Vollmers with 10 minutes left in the first half.
Sarah Silvasi made seven saves in the shutout for Dexter (19-2-2), which will face tournament host Trenton in a regional title game at 7 p.m. Thursday.
"It was our best performance so far, and it came against a quality opponent," Dexter coach Scott Forrester said of Ladywood (21-3-2). "There was a lot of even play throughout the game."

BOYS GOLF
Division 2 district at Monroe Country Club: In a district tournament rescheduled because of inclement weather, Milan finished fourth with a 342 score to advance to the regional round. Nick Scully led the Big Reds with an 80. Dearborn Divine Child won the team title and had the top two individuals. (Scores | Story)
