Huron water polo ranked No. 1, Pioneer No. 6 heading into district tournament

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Huron and Pioneer high school boys water polo teams are year-after-year mainstays in the Michigan Water Polo Association top ten state rankings.

This year, the River Rats have comfortably stood in the No. 1 spot all season long while the Pioneers, currently ranked No. 6, have hovered in the middle of the pack.

This weekend, the two Ann Arbor squads -- along with area foes Skyline, Saline and Dexter -- open play in the MWPA East Region, South District tournament.
