Images from the Dexter girls soccer team's fourth straight playoff shutout

The Dexter High School girls soccer team has yet to surrender a goal this postseason and advanced to a Division 2 regional final with a 4-0 win over Trenton at Chelsea High School on Wednesday. AnnArbor.com photographer Angela J. Cesere was there to catch the action.
In other local soccer action, Pioneer beat Saline 2-1 in a Division 1 semifinal at Dearborn Edsel Ford. The Pioneers will play Grosse Pointe South at 2 p.m. Saturday in Dearborn for a spot in the state semifinals. Dexter will play Livonia Ladywood at 5 p.m. Friday at Chelsea.

Excellent soccer being played by the Dexter girls right now. The game Friday against Liv. Ladywood (#6 in state) will be a good one. Nice photos, Angela. Go Dreads!!!

Wow! Finally posted some girl's soccer news. Great to see Dexter moving on. For the locals, it would have been nice to put an article out about the Dexter/Chelsea Districts finals game. The game only went through regulation, 2 overtimes and then into a PK shootout where Dexter won.
