If a battle of unbeaten teams winning each game by double digits isn’t a good "Game of the Week" matchup, we don’t know what is.

Manchester’s girls basketball game at Dexter Tuesday night has taken our Game of the Week honors for Week 2, after voting closed today.

The two teams come into the game with a combined 6-0 record. Manchester is 4-0, with its most recent win coming over Napoleon, 64-34 Friday night. Manchester’s McKenna Erkfitz recorded 37 points in the game.

Dexter is 2-0 on the season, after a 49-19 win over Pinckney Tuesday. The Dreadnaughts went up 19-2 in the first quarter of the game to seal the win.

The date of the game has been moved back to its original date: Tuesday, Dec. 11. The game had briefly been moved to Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The game garnered 390 votes in this week’s poll, compared to 210 for its closest competition: Huron at Lincoln boys.

You can't tell by the headline on this story that Dexter won. "Manchester at Dexter Girls Win" implies that Manchester won. I guess the "game of the week" aspect is more important than who won. Not if you live in Dexter, guys.

Not sure what you mean by this, Elaine. If you are just correcting their misleading headline then nice intentions. If you are implying that Dexter has already won this game then you may not realize this game hasn't been played yet. But our Lady Dutch will be invading your gym this Tuesday so we will have a winner then. GO LADY DUTCH!!
