Manchester gets first boys basketball win; Milan girls top Grosse Ile, and more

DEERFIELD -- Four Manchester High School players reached double figures and the Flying Dutchmen pulled away from host Britton-Deerfield in the fourth quarter Monday for their first win of the season.

Trailing by two points after three quarters, Manchester outscored Britton-Deerfield 20-10 in the fourth to win the non-conference game 56-48.

"It was nice to finish a game," Manchester coach Brad Gerbe said. "Hopefully the kids embrace this and we can turn a corner."

Twin brothers Clayton (14 points) and Corwin (12 points) Every led Manchester in scoring. Logan Zigila added 11 points and Josh Blades 10. (Rest of the Story | Boxscore)
