Manchester moves to district final, showdown with Clinton

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Manchester volleyball team won their second Class C District match Wednesday night, defeating Britton-Macon in straight sets. Manchester now moves on to face Clinton in the district final.

The Flying Dutch pulled out a nail-biter in the first set, surviving with a 26-24 victory, before winning the next two sets by more comfortable margins, 25-16, and 25-17.

“The first set was very close, it was point-for-point,” said Manchester coach Sarah Andrew. “We were getting used to them, we were seeing what they had.”

Manchester took the momentum from the first set win and rolled from there.
