Clinton's defense held Manchester to 13 second half points in a winning effort.

"Clinton is a solid team with good size and as the game went on they really hurt us on the offensive glass," Manchester coach David Arnold said. "In the second half, we had plenty of good, open looks and just couldn't make a shot. We've emphasized from the first day of practice that our success or failure would depend on our determination to defend and rebound. The determination just wasn't there in the second half, as evidenced by the score."

Nick Cozart led Manchester with 11 points. Teammate Matt Kemner scored 10.

The Willow Run defense held University Prep to nine points through the first three quarters.

"Our success begins with our defense and rebounding," said Willow Run head coach Cliff Russell. "Tonight, we put forth a really great effort in both of those areas. Offensively we did a good job passing the ball. We still have some work to do, but I feel that we are making some significant progress."
