Milan grits out 'old school' Huron League win over Monroe Jefferson

By AnnArbor.com Staff

MONROE -- After scoring and allowing at least 30 points in its last two games, the Milan High School football team was happy to get back to -- as coach Steve Robb put it -- "old school Huron League football" against rival Monroe Jefferson.

The Big Reds blanked the Bears 7-0 in a road win Friday in Monroe.

Milan (5-1, 4-1 Huron) and Jefferson gritted through three scoreless quarters until the tie was broken when Milan's Joe Dunn scored on a 20-yard run with 1 minute, 19 seconds remaining in the game.
