By Pete Cunningham

Pioneer High School graduate Casey Stockton was chosen back in March by the Shooting Touch sabbatical program to embark on a 10-month international work program centered on using basketball as a means for social change.

Stockton, who recently finished his senior basketball season at Denison University, won $25,000 and leaves in October for Rwanda for a 10-month program where he will work with charities, orphanages and churches to hold basketball camps and build courts while teaching the ideals of education health and fitness, disease prevention and gender equality.

But Stockton's not waiting until October to get started. Stockton and fellow grant winner Isaura Guzman are raising funds for purchasing and shipping everything from shoes to glass backboards to Rwanda in October.
