Pioneer, Skyline and Saline football teams represented on Division 1-2 All-State team

EAST LANSING (AP) - Andrew Copp and Jordan Woods of Skyline, Pioneer's Drake Johnson and Dylan Mulder from Saline are honorable mention selections on the Associated Press Division 1-2 All-State high school football team.

Johnson was honored as an all-purpose back. Johnson (6-foot, 200 pounds) amassed 850 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 137 attempts and caught 17 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns. He also scored via punt and interception returns this season and threw for a score, as well.

Copp threw for 2,433 yards and 23 touchdowns this season and Woods was his favorite target with 65 receptions, 1,103 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Mulder (6-0, 185 lbs.) was honored as a kicker after making 24 of 24 point-after attempts and 8 of 12 field goals with a long of 47 yards.

Lowell senior quarterback Gabe Dean (5-11, 195 lbs.), is the AP Division 1-2 Player of the Year.

Whoever the 11 panel voting panel is...you missed someone...Riley Quigley from the Ann Arbor Pioneers...I saw him in action on both offense and defense and THEN he played QB for the first time during the playoffs. Next time, consider players that play EVERYWHERE as part of your 'best' players as Riley Quigley was just that.
