League play may have just started around Washtenaw County, but there’s already no shortage of rivalry games in the second week of the new semester.

Pioneer-Huron and Ypsilanti-Lincoln both play one another in boys and girls basketball Jan. 18, and all four are choices in our Game of the Week poll for Jan. 15-18. Calvary Christian at Greenhills boys game on Jan. 15 rounds out this week's choices.

Fans can cast votes up to once per hour until the poll closes next Saturday. The winner will receive our blanket coverage, including a preview, multiple game stories, photos and a live chat.

After starting the season 5-0, the Pioneer girls lost their first game of the year to Lincoln Dec. 21. Huron enters the second semester at 3-4.

Lincoln and Ypsilanti, meanwhile, both came out of winter break with only one loss, Lincoln at 6-1 and Ypsilanti at 5-1.

On the boys side, Pioneer is currently riding a five-game winning streak, while Huron sits at 3-2. Ypsilanti has only one loss, to Wyandotte Roosevelt by one point in its opener, while Lincoln sits at 3-4.

Greenhills also has only one loss, at 3-1, while Calvary Christian is 0-3.
