DEARBORN -- The Willow Run High School softball team scored 35 runs in a pair of mercy-rule shortened wins at Dearborn Heights Robichaud on Thursday.

The Flyers earned a 15-0, four-inning win in the opener and followed it up with a 20-9 win in five innings in the nightcap.

It was a drastic turnaround in just two days for the Flyers, who lost their opener 13-4 to Westland Huron Valley Lutheran on Tuesday.

"We're young, we graduated eight starters," coach Duane Edwards said. "It was night and day between Tuesday and today. We had a good practice Wednesday and worked hard and it showed tonight."
