Washtenaw Christian tops Rudolf Steiner in Class D, Manchester eliminated in Class C
Justin Troost's 15 points and seven rebounds led the Washtenaw Christian Academy boys basketball team to a 55-32 win over Rudolf Steiner on Monday night.
The Wildcats, however, took awhile to find their rhythm in the Class D district opener being played on their home floor.
"We came out of the gate over-anxious -- almost too much adrenaline flowing," Washtenaw Christian coach Tim Goss said. "We weren't nervous, we were just overly hyped."
But after being tied, 6-6, after the first quarter, the Wildcats opened up an 11-point lead by halftime with their highest-scoring quarter coming in the second. (Rest of the Story | Boxscore)
