With Poll: Small schools or struggling football teams, the AnnArbor.com Game of the Week wants you
We’re spreading the love this week in the AnnArbor.com “Game of the Week” football poll, but we’re not feeling much love in return.

But three days into the voting, we’re not sure any of these teams want to be in a Game of the Week.
As of noon Monday, we’ve seen just 216 votes cast, which is several hundreds of votes below the typical post-weekend voter turnout. Of those, 103 (47.7 percent) have been for Dearborn Divine Child at Father Gabriel Richard on Saturday, 63 (29.2 percent) are for Ypsilanti at Dexter and 30 votes (13.9 percent) have been cast for River Rouge at Willow Run.
East Jackson at Manchester has 13 votes, and Whitmore Lake at Ottawa Lake-Whiteford has seven votes.
Last week, we had 1,448 votes cast, and two weeks ago we had 2,389 votes cast. The poll will stay open until 6 p.m. Tuesday, so fans have until then to make their voices heard.
The upside to the early voter apathy? It’s still anyone’s game. Any fan base that wants to mount a voting drive can easily take over this race.
So consider this our “Get out the Vote” campaign, and prove to us that we didn’t make a mistake in this week’s poll strategy.
