Willow Run, Rudolf Steiner fall in Wednesday boys basketball action

Melvindale Academy for Business & Technology's Terron Ramsey scored 22 points, including one 3-pointer.

Ypsilanti Willow Run's (0-3) Daquanta Brown scored a team-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers. AJ Davis scored 17.

Melvindale Academy had a 22-8 lead after the first quarter.

"We started slow again and played them pretty even after the first eight minutes," Willow Run coach Tim Cain said. "We just have to come out a bit more aggressive. Daquanta’s our three point specialist shooter. We attacked after the first quarter extremely well."

Ben Hadlock led Ann Arbor Rudolf Steiner (1-2) with 17 points and Koji Vroom had 12 points.

"It was frustrating," Rudolf Steiner coach Nick Sherwood said. "Our guys would be in position and they would jump over us. That is a very athletic team. I was proud of the way our guys battled tonight."
