The Huron High School girls basketball team couldn't manage to score as many points in the entire second half as it had in each of the first two quarters against Saline Tuesday night.

Luckily for the River Rats, the 22-point cushion they built in the first half enabled them to survive their scoring woes and a late Saline push to claim their first Southeastern Conference victory of the season, 45-35.

"It's hard when you're up big at halftime to come out with the same level of intensity. I think we had a little bit of that and Saline, to their credit, kept playing hard," said Huron coach Steve Vinson. (Rest of the story & photo gallery | Boxscore)
