Huron High School junior Alex Wunderlich advances deep into Michigan Junior Amateur Championship

Alex Wunderlich, a junior at Huron High School, qualified for the match-play portion of the Michigan Junior Amateur Championship this week at Pine Lake Country Club. Wunderlich shot 74, 77 and 72 to reach the match-play bracket.

In match play, Wunderlich defeated Matthew Felsenfeld 3 and 2 in the first round, then lost to Blake English 5 and 4 in the second round. English advanced to today finals against Jordan Fletcher.
