Lions' Shaun Hill gets another chance to shine in NFL; Tigers thumped and more links
Associated Press
Shaun Hill, a 30-year-old who once went five seasons in the NFL and only rarely took a snap, is now the Detroit Lions starting quarterback.
Hill has been unsung since he was a high school player, The Detroit Free Press reports.
Hill enters the Lions' home game Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles with 23 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions in 20 games.
“We feel good about Shaun,” fullback Jerome Felton said. “He’s been in this league a long time, done a lot of good things. I don’t think we’re worried that much.”
