UM defense played much less aggressive in the 2nd half of the WMU game, plus 2nd and 3rd string players were tried out. Floyd learned a lesson against a potential NFL QB! Oh well. The defense will have to play top notch through out the entire game. The key to this game will be UM defense. I'm leaning towards a low scoring game...may be UM 16 ND 13? But it could be a higher score if the defense puts little pressure on Clausen and Tate has a good day. I won't be too upset if it is close. I hope Big Blue can win at home. This game could go a long way in determining our final record and momentum or the remainder of the season. If we win, I think we will go 7-0 and potentially a 10 win season. If we lose, well, we may struggle and only win 6 games. That's why this game is HUGE and hope UM defense plays it hart out!

Last week, I predicted UM 35, WMU 14, but changed it to 49-17 after the organic waste contacted the rotary device last Sunday. This week, I am predicting UM 24, ND 14. I am not fully convinced that ND is as good as people think, but I am convinced that UM is a lot better than people think. To me, the main question is "can UM play mostly first team defense in the second half without them getting tired?" WMU moved pretty well against the second team last week, and I don't think this bodes too well if too many of them get too many minutes against ND.

I honestly don't know what to predict for this weekends match up. I can tell you that Michigan's defense will win them the game, or their offense will loose it!!! Given the chances that we don't have a go to quarterback yet, I can't see Michigan's record against top 25 teams to be successful. Good Luck Blue

Last week I predicted MICH 31 WMU 21 This week I predict ND 27 MICH 20 I certainly hope I'm wrong, but I fear the Clausen/secondary issue. I realize the same was said last week, but the Irish have some hogs up there...and time is everything in football. I think if Michigan makes it a close game and does not make big mistakes it will still be a positive indicator on this team's future...even if they lose.
