Miami tops Eastern Michigan women's basketball, 79-63
A pair of sophomores led Miami University to a 79-63 women’s basketball win over Eastern Michigan at the Convocation Center on Wednesday night.
Center Rachael Hencke scored 20 points and guard Maggie Boyer added 15 for the RedHawks (7-17, 5-6 Mid-American Conference).
Tavelyn James, also a sophomore, scored a game-high 21 points for Eastern (17-6, 7-4). The Eagles made 30.6 percent of their shots (22-of-72) from the floor. Miami made 45.8 percent (27-of-59) of their shots and were 17-of-19 from the free-throw line.
