Michigan baseball cancels trip to Stanford, will play at EMU this weekend
The Michigan baseball team will make up three games lost due to the cancellation of its series at Stanford by playing three games at this weekend's Oestrike Classic at Eastern Michigan.
Michigan will play Alma at 2 p.m. Friday, Oakland at noon Saturday and Eastern Michigan at 2 p.m. Sunday. As of Thursday afternoon, Eastern had not released its updated schedule to accommodate Michigan joining what had been a three-team event.
The Wolverines were scheduled to visit No. 22 Stanford this weekend, but canceled the trip in anticipation of thunderstorms and high winds in Palo Alto, Calif.
Sunday's game will be the first of three between Michigan (3-12) and Eastern (9-6) this season.

Unfortunatley, this team is going nowhere anyway; might as well save the airfare and the embarrassment by playing much weaker (relative to Stanford, anyway) local rivals.
