By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Michigan baseball team will host its annual Meet the Wolverines event at 6 p.m. tonight at the Junge Family Champions Center.

Big Ten baseball coaches project Michigan as the second-best team in their conference this season, the league announced today, trailing defending regular season and tournament champion Minnesota.

Coaches voted for the top six teams. Indiana, Michigan State, Iowa and Ohio State round out the top vote-getters.

Michigan opens its 2011 season this weekend at the Big Ten/Big East Challenge against Louisville, St. John's and Connecticut - the top three teams in the Big East preseason coaches' poll - in St. Petersburg and Clearwater, Fla.
