After five straight Big Ten losses, cornerback Troy Woolfolk said there's one way the Michigan football team can salvage its season - beat Ohio State.

“The main thing that I would want for our seniors is, No. 1, to beat Ohio State, which results into going to a bowl game,” Woolfolk said Monday. “So that’s the main thing. I mean Wisconsin, we want to beat them, too, but we haven’t beat Ohio State in five years, and I just think that would be a good accomplishment. And as bad as the season’s going, I think it will be redeemed after we beat Ohio State.”

Michigan travels to Wisconsin for its final Big Ten road game Saturday. The Wolverines (5-5, 1-5) are winless away from Michigan Stadium this year and 1-6 on the road under second-year coach Rich Rodriguez.

Next week, Ohio State visits Ann Arbor for a noon game that could have plenty on the line.

The Buckeyes, if they beat Iowa this weekend, will be playing for the outright Big Ten championship, their fifth straight conference crown.

Michigan (5-5, 1-5) needs one win to become bowl eligible.

Woolfolk said it "would be really sad" if the Wolverines miss out on the postseason after starting the year 4-0.
