Michigan junior guard Manny Harris named Co-Big Ten basketball Player of the Week
Michigan junior guard Manny Harris put up the second triple-double in Wolverines' history Saturday.
On Monday, he was rewarded by the Big Ten for the effort.
Harris and Ohio State guard Evan Turner were named co-Big Ten Players of the Week after both nabbing triple-doubles in the opening week of the college basketball season.
Harris scored 18 points, had 13 rebounds and made 10 assists in Michigan's 97-50 rout of Northern Michigan. He is the first Big Ten Player of the Week since DeShawn Sims on Dec. 29, 2008.
Turner had 14 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in a 100-60 win over Alcorn State. It was the first triple-double in the Big Ten since Sergio McClain on Jan. 13, 2001.
Now, the league had it twice in the same week.
