Michigan women's basketball controls second half, wins at Detroit
DETROIT -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team scored 40 second-half points in a 65-51 come-from-behind win over Detroit Saturday at Calihan Hall.
Michigan freshman guard Dayeesha Hollins led all scorers with 17 points, helping the Wolverines win their fifth straight game and finish the non-conference portion of their season with an 8-2 record.
The game against Detroit matched Michigan coach Kevin Borseth against Detroit coach Autumn Rademacher, who was an assistant on Borseth's staff at Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Veronica Hicks and Courtney Boylan scored 11 points each for Michigan, which trailed 28-25 at halftime. The Wolverines took their first lead of the game at 34-32 on a Hicks layup five minutes into the second half.
