Manny Harris
Harris averaged 16.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.23 steals a game for the Wolverines last year.
Harris was joined on the preseason team by Ohio State junior swingman Evan Turner, Penn State junior guard Talor Battle, Purdue junior forward Robbie Hummel and the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year, Michigan State junior guard Kalin Lucas.
Michigan State, which was selected as the Big Ten's top team, was followed by Purdue and Ohio State.

Lucas will dominate again. This year we take it all! Go Green, Go White!

Ohio State? Do they know something the rest of the world watching the Big Ten doesn't??

Ohio state returns its entire team minus that tall freshmen last year, who was a bust. Plus they get lighty back from injury. They moved Turner to the point, so they can get him, lighty, and buford on the floor at the same time. they will be a mismatch for most teams.

Copy and paste much? It'd be nice if Annarbor.com would edit their stories once in a while.

48104, not sure what world u are living in but ohio state is one of the teams that most experts have picked to finish 3-5 in the big ten this year. Plus when is the last time we beat the buckeyes in basketball?

Harris is the key guy for Michigan this year. He's one of the best in the Big 10 at taking the ball to the hoop. I'd like to see him become more consistent of a shooter from the outside though. But, Michigan should be improved this year and will be able to throw more players into the mix.

Yeah, right. What was MSU's record without Suton last year again? MSU better worry about replacing Suton before they worry about their final four plans.

As for the real story, UM, it should be an interesting year. I am definitely appreciative of the contributions of former walk-ons turned captains Merritt and Lee, but no team should be so short on personnel that walk-ons turn into captains.
Hopefully, the roster is now upgraded to a point where it is an uphill battle for walk-ons, and those who become contributors are nice stories and not two of the most crucial parts of the team.
Anyway, there appears to be more height and more talent this year.
Then, there is always the Beilein advantage. Because Beilein's offense is so different, it is a lot tougher to prepare for. Any team coached by JB will have the same "puncher's chance" that a left-handed boxer has; the fact that teams seldom face Beiein's system gives UM a little extra chance to win in any game.
The disavantage is that they won't be sneaking up on anyone this year. Teams won't go into the UM game thinking they can coast to an easy victory and that they can win just by putting their uniforms on. All-in-all, it should be a lot of fun being a UM fan this year.

Ohio State was weak at the point position last year. There is no way they can finish that high in the Big Ten this year. Turner will average 5 turnovers a game running the point.

ohio state's pg last year barely turned the ball over. thye avg just 1.3 to per game. thats not bad. the problem was they didnt have many assists. turner avg 4 assits with 3.5 to per game. but when u have the depth of wingmen that they do and turner is a good ball handler, as is lighty and buford, you can afford to shake things up. I think ohio state will be playing a fast paced game to get their wings running and gunning.
Michigan finally has the size (assuming cronin stays healthy) to take more teams down low and kick it out for the 3's. Manny will have to play more shut down defense than he did last year. as will the backcourt.....Im calling it now....indiana will shock quite a few teams....

There are two identical paragraphs, that is what freemind means.
The program is still having trouble selling tickets. I got an e-mail from the Athletic Depratment the other day that had tickets for like $5 in some of the packages. it is going to be a while until that place was packed like it was in the late 80's and early 90's. They used to sell standing room tickets back then.
