The Michigan State basketball program held its annual media day today. Here's a roundup of coverage by our sister paper, The Grand Rapids Press:

• Coach Tom Izzo said he has contemplated how he handled his flirtation with the NBA and said he “should’ve been more available” while talking with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

• Junior guard Korie Lucious, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery last month, will be healthy enough to play when the Spartans open their season on Nov. 12. But Izzo said he won't play in that game -- and perhaps others -- because of an offseason arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.
