One-legged pro wrestler Zach Gowen of Ann Arbor tells his story
Give Zach Gowen credit. He knows a good story.
He let us know that the Scrippsnews.com article about a one-legged wrestler who was once a WWE star and now works other circuits after battling drug and alcohol addictions was one we should let readers know about.
Gowen, who lives in Ann Arbor, didn't really need to read the story. It's the story of his life.
Gowen, reached out to us on Twitter (@ZachGowen) and there notes he is, "The world's only 1 legged professional wrestler. Author, stuntman, public speaker, and survivor."
Gowen found fame as a 20-year-old on the WWE and worked with Roddy Pipper and Hulk Hogan, the Scrippsnews.com story notes. While a career high, it also led him to trouble, Gowen said.
"I felt horribly awkward and uncomfortable in my own skin my whole life," Gowen told Scrippsnews.com. "Now, here I was on TV making a lot of money, hanging out with Hulk Hogan with girls and parties all around. It was too much to handle."
