Eastern Michigan University women's basketball falls to Purdue in WNIT; EMU baseball edged by Michigan State

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team squandered a first half-lead, falling to Purdue University, 56-50, in the first round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) Wednesday at Mackey Arena.

EMU was led by Tavelyn James, who poured in 28 points, including six 3-pointers. The Eagles finish with a 22-9 overall record and an 11-5 league mark. (EMUEagles.com)
