Rich Rodriguez, Calvin Magee issue statements regarding Chris Henry's death
Rich Rodriguez and Calvin Magee both recruited and coached Bengals receiver Chris Henry while working at West Virginia.
Now at Michigan, the coaches were saddened to learn Wednesday of Henry's death, which occurred when he sustained injuries falling from a pickup truck.
The Michigan coaches released the following statements regarding Henry:
Rich Rodriguez: "I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Chris Henry. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his fiancé, children and their families as they deal with this sudden and tragic loss. I enjoyed our time together at West Virginia and we shared a lot of great moments. I have many fond memories of our three years together and will remember those forever. Chris will be missed by many and he will always have a place in my heart."
Calvin Magee: "I am in shock over the news of Chris Henry’s passing. I remember recruiting Chris to West Virginia like it was yesterday. He came from a humble background and was a wonderful young man and football player. Chris was like a son to me and I will cherish all the great memories that I have of him. His family is in my thoughts and prayers."

I wonder who wrote that statement for Rich Rodriquez. Those are not his words...maybe from a Hallmark card. He is such a phony.

Rich Rod has a short memory. Apparently, he doesn't remember suspending Henry from the WV footbal team and calling him an embarassment to himself and the program. At least RR is kind to the survivors.
