redceder1 Yer in the wrong forum. You need to press the sparty button. You know the one that beats the Wolverines about every 4 games for the last century. Since we let you have two in a row we will take the next 6!;>/

N. Iowa was a cupcake, too. However, Iowa has played an extremely tough schedule outside of those two teams. ISU, AZ, and PSU are high quality wins. I would argue that ISU is akin to Indiana, PSU is better than ND, and AZ is far better than EMU or WMU. Iowa has actually played their best against the better teams they've faced. Michigan's going to need to play better than they have in any game this year because Iowa will be ready, and they are by far the best team we have seen thus far.

It'll be a challenge for our offensive line, that's for sure. But, it depends on which Iowa team that shows up - the one that did a number on Penn St. or the one that squeaked by Arkansas St. at home. Our O-line will have to do a bit of overachieving I think. Our recruiting really fell off in the later Carr years. And we lost a few more linemen in the coaching transition (good riddance to one of them - you all know who I mean). But, they are getting better the MSU game notwithstanding. They certainly CAN'T have another uninspired performance like that against Iowa.

This is a very winnable game. Iowa is terribly inconsistent. And Iowa has play some cupcakes this year. Michigan's wins over Indiana, Eastern and Western were good wins. There is only one way to know how UM Football will fair against the better competition -- and that is to play them. Should be an interesting game.

that's also how they were able to streak for 2 long TD drives in 5 minutes, they don't fit the old plodding stodgy Michigan ways. More plays over 20 yards already this year than the previous 2 complete years.

This game will be a huge challenge to our O line. No matter how good our backs are (and make no mistake, they are damn good), if our line can't move anyone off the ball, we can't run. MSU's average defense stuffed our run. Now, against a FAR better defense, it's time for this line to suck it up, get mean, get nasty, and smash some Iowa linemen right in the mouth. Forget schemes, forget style, it's time to knock some heads and play Michigan football. Run it down their throats. We're Michigan. Go Blue!
