Chances are, if you're a sports fan, and you have internet access, you've come across a headline with the name Rich Rodriguez planted in it.

Most recently, college football senior writer Tom Dienhart of Rivals.com, from Yahoo! Sports, tackled the issues circling around the Michigan coach and the Wolverines, with the headline: Rodriguez knows there are no guarantees

Writes Dienhart, "Will the Wolverines improve? The prognostications for Michigan vary, but most feel the Wolverines are a middle-of-the-pack Big Ten team with a legitimate chance for a bowl bid. After showing signs of life last season with two true freshman quarterbacks, the offense looks as if it will be fine. There is ample skill-position talent and finally quality depth along the line."

He later adds, "But the defense is a different story. In a word, the unit has been atrocious under Rodriguez and remains a work in progress."

Can't win without a solid defense. Michigan will lose at least one of the first 2 then to Wisc, Iowa, PSU and OSU. MSU game is a toss up. That's 6 or 7 wins max! Not good enough. Hurry Coach Harbaugh! As the bowl turns, we want more than Pizza Pizza

The first two games and the big two at home in October (MSU and Iowa) will be the litmus tests for Michigan. We MUST come out of those games 3-1 to have a chance at an 8 win season and a solid bowl bid. For the program to move forward, we absolutely have to start winning some of these tougher Big Ten games - especially the ones at home.

This Fan predicts a one loss season for Michigan. Why? Offense, that starts with a big "D" and ends with a little "d". I belive what we saw at the Spring game shall carry over for a remarkable season!! RichRod knows how to score points, that's why he was recruited to lead the Wolverines. Ohio State is as explosive as Michigan and will be just too powerful. Those of us who follow Florida high school football know fullwell of an OSU recruited freshman running back surprise (6' 2", 230+ lbs and 4.3 speed) that has Heisman potential. Don't misunderstand me, I am a Michigan Fan!
