Pioneer High School diver Emily Stalmack's score of 437.45 led a quintet of area divers who advanced to the state finals after top-12 finishes at the Division 1 regional Tuesday at Pioneer.

The Division 1 diving regional in Ann Arbor was one of nine held around the state.

Stalmack's score earned her a runner-up finish, trailing only defending state champion Cheyneene Cousineau of Temperance Bedford, who posted a 486.05 for first place. Stalmack's Pioneer teammate, Mackenzie Gerhart, earned a state bid with an eighth-place finish of 346.15.

Narrowly missing the state-cut was Pioneer's Sophia Garris (13th, 309.65), Saline's Morgan Williams (14th, 305.75) and Huron's Molly Gelb (15th, 301.05).
