MONROE -- A hand-written sign leaning against a cyclone fence was tattered and forgotten as Manchester High School football fans filed out of Navarre Field.

And its message couldn't have been further from the truth.

"Go Dutch," it read. "Third Time is the Charm."

Friday night's trip to meet Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central in a Division 6 football regional championship -- the third regional matchup between the teams since 2005 -- lost its charm early and turned downright repulsive before it was over.
