Washtenaw Christian basketball capitalizes on hot start; Dexter swimming and wrestling among Thursday's other winners

Kiren Hoosier scored 15 of his game-high 26 points in the first quarter, helping Washtenaw Christian Academy take a big early lead it wouldn't surrender Thursday against Auburn Hills Christian.

The Wildcats (1-1) led 21-6 after the game's first eight minutes.
