Three former Michigan track athletes qualified for the 2012 Olympics at the Canadian Olympic Trials on Friday.

Nicole Forrester, who competed at Michigan from 1996-99, won the high jump at Foothills Athletic Park in Calgary to earn a spot in London.

Nate Brannan (2002-05), a volunteer coach at Michigan, won the men’s 1,500-meter run to earn his second Olympics appearance. In 2008, the 11-time All-American didn’t advance from the semifinal round.
