The Detroit Tigers have looked lost as of late, and having its manager Jim Leyland out on a one-game suspension certainly didn't help their cause.

Missed opportunities plagued the Tigers once again in a 7-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday night.

For the second night in a row, Tigers cleanup hitter Miguel Cabrera was intentionally walked to put the go-ahead run on second base in the seventh inning. The ensuing batter, Brennan Boesch, however, popped out. Detroit never saw a better chance to threaten.

"It just shows Miguel's the best hitter in the game," Boesch said. "I'd probably do the same thing. Hopefully, I'll start swinging like I can and I'll make them think twice. But I am sure it will happen again. I'll be ready for it."
