Construction begins soon on basketball player development center at Michigan
Construction on a basketball player development center next to Crisler Arena will begin soon and a groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, the university said in a release Wednesday.
The $23.2 million, 57,000-square foot basketball facility is expected to take two years to build and will have two basketball courts, locker rooms, an athletic medicine area, offices and strength and conditioning areas.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon, basketball coach John Beilein and women's basketball coach Kevin Borseth are expected to attend the groundbreaking.
