Second star: Evan Smotrycz The freshman had been struggling from the 3-point line but figured it out Sunday, scoring 14 points, making 4 of 5 3-pointers and 5 of 6 shots overall. He also stayed out of foul trouble.
Third star — Tim Hardaway Jr. The freshman continues to see his star ascend. He led Michigan with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. More impressive was his shot selection. He waited for things to come in the flow of the offense instead of taking early shot-clock 3-pointers.
