Duke, Ohio State, Kansas, Syracuse and Pittsburgh remain the top five teams in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released today.
Michigan State, which lost to Penn State on Saturday, is out of the poll for the first time since the end of the 2006-07 season.

Dropped out: No. 19 Michigan State, No. 20 Memphis, No. 25 Wichita State.
Michael Rothstein’s take: There was craziness in college basketball this weekend. Actually, scratch that. Let's call it borderline insanity. Almost half of the teams in last week’s ballot lost (headlined by back-to-back losses from Georgetown) and that shook up everything. Duke and Ohio State remain 1-2, but I flipped Syracuse and Kansas since the Jayhawks looked unimpressive in a 67-60 overtime win at Michigan on Sunday. Notre Dame makes a jump into the top 10 after beating Connecticut and St. John’s. Those Hoyas hung around at No. 25 — just edging out former top 5 team Michigan State for the final spot.
