Michigan basketball commits Derrick Walton and Mark Donnal rise in rankings

John Beilein's highly-touted 2013 recruiting class continues to draw more attention from recruiting services.

Two of the four members of the Michigan basketball program's 2013 haul saw their stock rise Tuesday in the updated Top 150.


Michigan basketball commit Mark Donnal, of Anthony Wayne (Ohio) High School, saw his stock rise in's Top 150 for 2013 on Tuesday.

Chandler Park Academy point guard Derrick Walton, a four-star prospect, jumped 30 spots to No. 57 overall, becoming the consensus top-rated player in Michigan's 2013 class.

Anthony Wayne (Ohio) High School power forward Mark Donnal, also a four-star player, was also on the move. The 6-foot-9 power forward moved up 21 spots to No. 103.

Walton is rated at No. 48 overall by and No. 40 overall by Donnal, meanwhile, is No. 65 in's rankings and No. 80 in Scout's list.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.) wing Zak Irvin saw his stock dip in the Rivals' rankings. Irvin fell from No. 54 to No. 68 overall. Irvin sits behind Walton and just in front of Donnal in ESPN's list at No. 61. does not rank him inside its top 100.
