Michigan basketball freshman Trey Burke named honorable mention AP All-America

Trey Burke's historic season just keeps getting more and more historic.
The Michigan basketball team's freshman point guard was named to The Associated Press' 2012 All-America team Monday as an honorable mention selection.
The co-Big Ten Freshman of the Year and second team All-Big Ten performer becomes the first Michigan player to receive AP All-America mention since Robert Traylor and Louis Bullock were honorable mention selections in 1998.
The last Michigan players to make either a first, second or third team AP All-America list were Jalen Rose and Juwan Howard in 1994.

His future at Michigan, though, remains uncertain at the moment.
Last week, his father, Benji, confirmed that Burke would seek the counsel of the NBA draft advisory board, as he explores the possibility of leaving college for a future in professional basketball.
Burke has not made a decision yet. On Monday morning, Benji Burke confirmed to AnnArbor.com that the family has not heard back from the draft advisory board.
Making the first team this season were Kansas' Thomas Robinson, Kentucky's Anthony Davis, Michigan State's Draymond Green, Ohio State's Jared Sullinger and Creighton's Doug McDermott.
Green and Sullinger were the only Big Ten players selected to the first, second or third team.
Burke, Purdue senior Robbie Hummel, Northwestern senior John Shurna, Wisconsin senior Jordan Taylor and Indiana freshman Cody Zeller all received honorable mention status.
