Michigan basketball picks up pair of 2013 commitments

By AnnArbor.com Staff

It didn’t take long for John Beilein and his Michigan basketball coaching staff to get started on its 2013 recruiting class.

On the first day coaches extended scholarship offers to 2013 prospects, UMHoops.com is reporting the Wolverines have picked up a pair of verbal commitments.

Austin Hatch, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Fort Wayne, Ind., and 6-9 forward Mark Donnal from Whitehouse, Ohio, have both reportedly accepted scholarship offers. Verbal commitments are non-binding.

Both of the high school juniors-to-be are rated as 3-star recruits by Rivals.com. Donnal is rated the 81st best player in the nation by ESPN.com.
