Michigan basketball signee Mitch McGary to play in USA Basketball's 2012 Nike Hoop Summit
The Michigan basketball program's top recruit for next season will show his stuff on an international level this spring.
Mitch McGary, a 6-foot-10, 260-pound power forward from Brewster Academy, was announced as a member of the 2012 USA Junior National Select Team, which will battle the World Select Team on April 7 in the 2012 Nike Hoop Summit.
Also on the USA team will be UCLA signee Kyle Anderson, North Carolina signee Marcus Paige, Duke signee Rasheed Sulaimon and Arizona signee Kaleb Tarczewski.
Undecided prospects Nerlens Noel, Tony Parker and Shabazz Muhammad will also be on the roster.
The World Select Team will be made up of international players, 19-year-old or younger.
The game will be played at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore. at 10 p.m., and televised nationally on Fox Sports Net.
McGary is part of Michigan's highly rated three-man class for 2012, joining four-star prospects Glenn Robinson III and Nik Stauskas. The group is rated as the seventh-best in America, according to Scout.com.
