Michigan basketball's Tim Hardaway Jr. dunk nominated for play of the year
Michigan basketball sophomore Tim Hardaway Jr.'s high-flying antics have received national attention.
Hardaway's alley-oop dunk from Trey Burke during a 68-56 home win over Indiana on Feb. 1 has been nominated for the Geico Play of the Year.
Hardaway's jam beat out plays from Oregon State's Jared Cunningham, Northern Iowa's Anthony James and Iowa's Roy Devyn Marble to earn week seven honors for the final contest.
Hardaway now joins Indiana's Christian Watford, Purdue's Robbie Hummel, Oral Roberts' Damen Bell-Holter, Lindsey Wilson's Chase Spreen, Louisville's Peyton Siva and Syracuse's C.J. Fair as finalists for the honor.
To vote for Hardaway, or any other finalist, visit Geico's "Best of College Basketball" Facebook page.
The winner of the contest will be announced during a Best of College Basketball special, airing at 1 p.m. on March 25 (CBS).
