The two-part Crisler Center renovation is nearing its completion.

Complete with a new atrium and lobby, a new concourse, new concession stands and even a new drop-down curtain for women's basketball games, Michigan hopes to have everything finished by the start of the 2012-13 season.

On Friday, the Michigan basketball program offered a peek into the construction process through its official Facebook page.

The photos show the ongoing renovation to the Crisler Center floor, the words to "The Victors" etched on the floor of the building's wrap-around concourse and even gives a glimpse of the new entryway.

After completing the initial renovation prior to last season, which included the new William Davidson Player Development Center, Michigan is currently in the process of finishing the second phase of renovations.

This run of construction will give the building an additional $52 million facelift.

"They're working double shifts at Crisler and if you go by, just about every day there's a new wall up, you can see the progress happening before your eyes," Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon said in May. "They're working really hard because we need to get that baby ready to go for the season, and I'm being told we're on schedule. We've certainly had great weather, so there's no weather excuses."

None of these renovations will impress me until I see a sold-out post-game concourse scenario not look like a rush-hour Times Square subway platform. Actually, I must correct that....at least people can move on the subway platform.

It would be pretty sweet to see them move the mens hockey to chrysler arena....im sorry center. Do you have any pictures of the work being done to yost arena or is that going to be called yost center when they are done?
