Legitimate question, KeepingItReal. To answer the question about KBA's assistants: Yes. Both Joy McCorvey and Chester Nichols are African American. See this: http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/w-baskbl/mich-w-baskbl-body.html. In terms of football, I haven't done any research but it seems to me that basketball staffs (generally and proportionately) have more African American coaches than football staffs. And I wonder if Big Ten football staffs have a lower percentage of African American coaches than staffs in other conferences. It "feels like" that is the case but I don't know for a fact. As a football fan with family down in Texas, I do know that Mack Brown/Texas football has 4 of 10 African American coaches and 1 Latino coach; 50% coaches of color plus 5 of 5 strength/conditioning and operations folks are African American. Outside of an Historically Black College that's pretty good. And not the norm.

Once again I ask. Are any of her assistants African American? The last time I posed this question it was not posted. I think its a fair question and one that goes to the heart of engaging representatives of the community and individuals who make the system work. African American athletes. All of Brady Hokes major Assistants are non-African Americans yet over 50% of his athletes are African American. Is this not a legitimate question?
