Michigan's John Beilein to take part in Coaches vs. Cancer clinic on Sept. 22

Michigan basketball coach John Beilein will be a guest speaker/instructor next month during the 14th annual "Knights Basketball Coaching Academy," an event that will benefit the Coaches vs. Cancer cause.

Beilein will join Ohio coach Jim Christian and Central Michigan assistant Jeff Smith in leading the half-day long coaching clinic, which will be held at Andover High School in Bloomfield Hills.

Beilein's scheduled presentation will center around "Michigan offensive skills development."

The event, which has raised more than $3,000 for the Coaches vs. Cancer fund since 2009, is open to coaches of all ages and skill levels for a fee of pre-registration fee $35.

The deadline for registration is Sept. 15. Walk-up registration for the event, which will run from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will be $45.
