Rose stopped by ESPN.com to chat about the documentary, Michigan and other things related to college basketball.

Cool story Mike... really look forward to viewing the doc/film.. Jalen said some of the stuff was never seen/heard.. The Fab Five will never happen again... GO BLUE..

I like that Jalen is giving back now. But, the Fab Five era was one of entertainment, but not championships. As incredible as the recruiting class was, they failed to deliver any championships - Big Ten or National. To me, that's the bottom line. Not the notoriety they brought Michigan nor the flamboyance on the court. In the end, it brought Michigan probation and a lengthy decline in relevance. Yes, Ed Martin was intimately involved in bringing some of the Fab Five to Michigan - most notably Rose and Webber. Yes, it was fun at the time, but Michigan ultimately paid a high price. And we're still not back to the place we were then in terms of prominence in college basketball.
